Front Page Heater Problems
Mark was on the front page of the Lawrence Journal World!!

Last night the heater stopped working. It was clicking on, the pilot light would come on, it would blow cold air for a while, and then it clicked off. So last night we turned off the heater..kinda cold, but thats what blankets are for. Today Ray, my dad-in-law, came over to see if it was something he could fix. Nope. So I had to call someone to come out and look at it and possibly fix it for us. Was gonna do McElroy's but they charge $95 PER HOUR, and demanded payment today. Called around and the best deal was Young's. They give a 10% discount to new customers. The bad part is that they charge $87 for the first hour and a little less than that for each additional hour. They also ask for payment today for new customers.

So I went with Young's. They told me someone would be at the house between 12pm and 4:30pm. They are supposed to call me b4 they get to the house to make sure someone is there.

Thank goodness for Ray tho. He said to let him know how much the bill was and he would transfer the money to my account (cause i am paying with a check).

Gah this sucks!!

First a battery for my car and now the heater goes haywire. GRR!!

So it was blowing cold air. I thought so, since you'd checked and said the heater was on.

Don't you guys have a warranty on the house or something? That's supposed to be covered, I believe, since you've only been there for a little over 7 months. Heaters aren't supposed to die that quickly.

its not that it died, Ray came over and thinks it just needs a new part. And I'm not sure if just a part for the heater is covered...i will have to check.

It'd be good to check, JIC. :)
