My Life...From doing OK, to doing Crappy
Just when I think I am doing ok at life in gerneral, and everything is pretty much ok, Something Shitty happens. I have been trying to get ahold of a atorney named Valentine because a bill that I didn't know I had went to collections from the health agency. I was first told that I only owed $68 to them. Not soo bad. I can take that out of a paycheck and just pay it off.

I just get off the phone with Valentine (the well known collection asshole) and I am told that I owe $213 all together. For what? You ask. For bills from back in 2005. Ya, thats right 2, almost 3 years ago. I had thought that my bankrupcy took care of it. And what makes this worse is that it is collecting interest 12% to be exact (i am waiting on a phone call to let me know if its monthy, weekly, or what). Bunch of Bull-shit. How in the world is someone supposed to pay off a bill when its collecting interest the whole time. You could spend your whole life paying on the interest alone. Such CRAP!! And I asked them that "how can you guys charge interest when someone is trying to honestly pay it off?" all they could say was "it was in the judgement" ASs!

Its just soo fustrating. I thought I was gonna be able to start over and be ok. But nOoo.

What ever. I am done ranting.

once you start making payments, make sure to always keep your receipts and request a the total remaining after every payment.

you wouldn't believe the amount of money collection agencies make illegally collecting debts that have been previously paid. they get away with shit like this because people just pay it without question so their credit doesn't get messed up. they do it all the time, tho. they'll pull records of past debts that have been settled already and make a call to attempt to collect. if you state it's been paid, they'll often ask for proof and drop it. if you don't remember it, they'll attempt to collect and usually are successful.

just a helpful hint. :)
